Let Us Lead by Serving Others.
The purpose of the Maurine Lindsay Chapter of Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, community service and leadership among its members.
An incoming Freshman who has all A's as an eighth grader will be considered for induction their Freshman year. All advanced and regular course grades are figured in this average. Conduct grades must be all S's, and the student must be in good standing with school officials. New members will be assessed $35 to cover membership materials from the National Beta Club and local dues. Active members pay $25 per year for dues.
Our members are expected to maintain a 4.25 weighted GPA each semester and contribute a minimum of 10 hours of community service per semester or a minimum of 20 hours per year (exclusive to Beta Club). Students falling below this average will be placed on probation for one semester.
You may also earn hours during the summer. Contact Mrs. Megan Miller or Mrs. Erin Wright for more information.
We conduct three food drives per year and assist with the 5K Hunger Hustle in the fall for the benefit of the Winnsboro Community Resource Center, The Blessing Box, and The Beta Club Scholarship Fund.
